After five months of hand-sewing, thousands of sequins and a giant-size bottle of Mod Podge Extreme Glitter, my Elsa doll is finally finished and just in time for Spring!
Elsa is, of course, property of Disney and I mean absolutely no copyright infringement by this work. Immense thanks to Brittney Lee and Jennifer Lee for Elsa’s character and design, and for inspiring me to create what is easily my most ambitious custom doll to date.
Doll: Iplehouse Erica with eye opening modification by Napoleonchan, with my appreciation and gratitude.Watercolor pencils, acrylic paint, chalk pastels, Mister Super Clear, false eyelashes, Volks Shine Pearl.
Cape: Mod Podge (matte, gloss, Extreme Glitter), power mesh, RIT dye, shredded tinsel, magnets.
Dress: Power mesh, RIT dye, Mod Podge Extreme Glitter, synthetic organdy, synthetic taffeta, polyester lining, vintage sequins, magnets.
Shoes: Papier-mache, shredded tinsel, acrylic paint over a base pair of 1/3 scale high heels.
Wig: Monique synthetic mohair wefts added to a Kemper wig, plastic snowflakes.
